City Terrace Smoke Respite Shelter Update

The City Terrace Smoke Respite Shelter will close on Saturday, June 27 at 12:00 PM. Resources, including Personal Protective Equipment, water and other essential supplies will remain available through ongoing distribution events to ensure residents have access to needed support. ESTEAM youth programming will be available to local youth at the City Terrace Park Gym.

Boyle Heights Storage Facility Fire - Evacuation Information

The Los Angeles Fire Department is providing daily video updates on the status of the fire. To watch the latest update, visit https://www.youtube.com/@lafd/videos.

Shelter-in-Place Order for Zone LFD-1279-A has been LIFTED for Boyle Heights for the building fire.

Although smoke in the area has decreased, a Smoke Advisory remains in place. Individuals with sensitivity to smoke should continue to monitor AQMD Air Quality alerts (AQMD.gov) and avoid unnecessary exposure to outdoor air. For updates visit LAFD.org/Alerts.


Boyle Heights Storage Facility Fire Information

Due to operations related to Wednesday’s (6/17) building fire, a Smoke Advisory remains in place for the area East of Boyle Heights. Individuals with sensitivity to smoke should continue to monitor AQMD Air Quality alerts (AQMD.gov) and avoid unnecessary exposure to outdoor air.

Residents do not need to check into shelters to access resources like food, water and protective masks. A mobile health clinic is also on site at the County’s City Terrace shelter.
