100,000 Opportunities in Los Angeles
Looking for a job? If you’re between the ages of 16 and 24, join the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative on February 11th at the Los Angeles Convention Center for a chance to jumpstart your career. The County and City of Los Angeles as well as more than 30 businesses are looking for students and young adults eager to join the work force and set themselves up for a successful future. This opportunity to interview with dozens of industry leaders takes place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This Opportunity Fair and Forum allows job-seekers to connect with industry professionals and improve resume and interviewing skills. Applicants also will have a chance to speak with job mentors, meet with financial coaches who can assist with money fundamentals, take part in job training workshops and explore public sector opportunities for careers within the justice system and in immigration services.
Forty percent of those who are unemployed in Los Angeles County are between the ages of 16 and 24. If that describes you, or someone you know, join Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and other special guests and become part of the 100,000 Opportunities movement.
