Promotes immunizations (vaccines) to protect infants, children, adolescents, and adults from diseases that can be serious, such as measles, pertussis (whooping cough), polio, and influenza (flu).
Provides technical assistance and resources to help health care providers adopt practices that have been proven to improve immunization services, access, and rates.
Provides follow-up and referrals to help prevent hepatitis b in infants who are born to women who have been infected with hepatitis b. Works with families and providers to prevent the further spread of vaccine-preventable diseases when cases are identified.
Plans immunization awareness campaigns, provides immunization educational materials, and posts information on its website to help community members make informed decisions about immunizations.
Links community members who do not have insurance and/or access to a regular health care provider with resources to receive flu and other immunizations at no charge or for a reduced fee. Individuals seeking referrals may also call the County Information Line at 211.

Complaints of police misconduct are investigated by the Sheriff’s Department and may be reported directly to them or to us.
